Vehicle Break-ins


Please be aware that there have recently been several reports of theft from vehicles across your area.
 
Sometime between 1800 hours on Monday 15th October and 1030 hours on Tuesday 16th October a Mercedes Sprinter Van has had its exhaust stolen.
The value of the exhaust was around £1100 and no damage was caused.
The van had been parked in Trafalgar Road, Horsham.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting 0819 of 16/10/12
 
 
Sometime between 1800 hours on Monday 15th October and 0730 hours on Tuesday 16th October a van has had a silencer stolen.
The van had been parked in the vicinity of White Hart Court in North Parade, Horsham.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting 0469 of 16/10/12
 
 
Between 1900 hours on Monday 15th October and 0700 hours on Tuesday 16th October a car which was parked in Purton Road, Horsham, has been broken into.
It is not known how entry was gained, but an I-pod Nano was taken.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting 1785 of 16/10/12
 
It doesn’t take long for an opportunistic thief so please make sure you remove any valuables from your vehicle. If this is not possible then please put them away out of sight.

PCC


The Home Office have launched a new website to help us to become informed about the role of the new Police & Crime Commissioner and who is standing in our own local police force areas.
On November 15th, 2012, for the first time, you will be able to vote for your local police and crime commissioner (PCC). This is a new role and the job of the PCC will be to oversee the police and ensure they prioritise what matters to you.
Each candidate may have different ideas, skills and experience to bring to the role. Information on who to vote for and how they propose to make a difference will be available on this site from October 26th, 2012. These are important roles so ensure you choose the candidate that will tackle the issues you care about.

Break in to van in Naldrett Close


Serial 1280 of 08/10/12 relates to a break to van in Naldrett Close, Horsham.
 
Sometime between 1700 hours on Monday 1st October and 1500 hours on Monday 8th October a Ford Transit van was broken into in Naldrett Close, Horsham.
 
There were no signs of forced entry to the van and it is believed it may have been left insecure.
Several items were taken, including a Stihl Hedge trimmer and a Stihl grass trimmer, both valued at around £1000.
 
Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101 quoting 1280 of 08/10/12.

Break in to garage, Pelham Court


Serial 1248 of 06/10/12 relates to a break to a garage in Pelham Court, Horsham.
 
Sometime between 0700 hours on Thursday 4th October and 0700 hours on Saturday 6th October a garage in Pelham Court, Horsham has been broken into.
 
The main lock on the garage was damaged and forced open in order to gain entry. Several items were taken, which include; a motorcycle helmet, bags of brass and several boxes of CD's/DVD's.
The motorcycle helmet is quite distinctive and is described as having a scorpion along the side in blue, yellow and black.
 
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting 1248 of 06/10/12.

Criminal damage in Honeysuckle Walk


Serial 0200 of 05/10/12 relates to criminal damage in Honeysuckle Walk, Horsham.
At around 0010 hours on Friday 5th October a loud bang was heard by the occupant of a house in Honeysuckle Walk, Horsham, but nothing was thought of it at the time.
The occupant has then gone downstairs several hours later, to find the front window of their house had been smashed and a large rock lying on the floor.
Nothing had been taken from the property.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting the above serial number.

Theft from an unattended vehicle


Serial 0194 of 05/10/12 relates to a theft from an unattended vehicle in Cambridge Road, Horsham.
Sometime between 1715 hours on Thursday 4th October and 0700 hours on Friday 5th October a white transit van which was parked in Cambridge Road, Horsham was broken into.
It is believed the offenders gained entry by forcing the drivers lock.
Items taken include; a hedge cutter, strimmer, blower and a gas reader.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting the above serial number.
