Burglaries


Serial 0510 of 06/12/13 relates to a burglary at a property in Brushwood Road, Horsham.
 
Sometime between 1100 hours and 1145 hours on Friday 6th December, a property in Brushwood Road has been broken into.
 
It would appear the offender/s were able to gain access by climbing the conservatory roof and entering through a window.
 
Several jewellery items were stolen.
 
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 0510 of 06/12/13.

Serial 0218 of 07/12/13 relates to a burglary at a property in Willow Road, Horsham.
 
At around 0245 hours on Saturday 7th December, a property in Willow Road, Horsham was broken into and keys to a Porsche Cayenne were stolen.
 
The offender/s were able to gain access through the front door and used the keys to steal the vehicle.
 
Police were called and were able to track the offender/s. Two males were arrested for burglary.

Serial 0437 of 09/12/13 relates to a burglary at a property in Kings Road, Horsham.
 
Sometime between Tuesday 3rd December and 0950 hours on Monday 9th December a property in Kings Road, Horsham has been broken into.
 
It would appear the offender/s were able to gain access by forcing a front window.
 
Nothing was stolen.
 
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 0437 of 09/12/13.

Burglary


Serial 1459 of 30/11/13 relates to a burglary at a property in South Holmes Road, Horsham.
 
Sometime between 1400 hours and 2000 hours on Saturday 30th November, a property in South Holmes Road, Horsham has been broken into.
 
It would appear that the offender/s were able to gain access by kicking the front door.
 
A TV, Playstation 3 console and blu-ray player were stolen.
 
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 1459 of 30/11/13.

Scam Caller


Serial 0445 of 30/11/13 relates to a possible scam of an elderly lady in Timberlands, Storrington.
 
It is believed that on either Monday 25th November or Tuesday 26th November, a male has knocked on a door in Timberlands, Storrington stating that he was doing work in the area and that the roof of the property was damaged. The male has then entered the property and stated that there is water on top of a cupboard and water on a downstairs wall.
 
The male asked for a large amount of money, believed to be in the thousands. Unfortunately a description of the male is not available at this time.
 
We are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 0445 of 30/11/13.
 
Remember: If someone knocks on your door, always examine and check their identification.
 
Never let someone in your house unless they are someone you know and trust.
 
Don’t immediately agree to any offer involving a significant amount of money, time or commitment.
 
If you are interested in what a door-to-door salesperson has to offer, take time to find out about their business and their offer. Shop around to make sure you are getting a good deal. Confirm with charities that they are collecting in your area.

Break in and attempted burglary


Serial 0375 of 23/11/13 relates to a break to a garage in Parkfield, Horsham.
 
Sometime between 1900 hours on Thursday 21st November and 0930 hours on Saturday 23rd November, a garage in Parkfield, Horsham has been broken into.
 
It would appear the offender/s were able to gain access through a corrugated iron roof.
 
Tow push bikes were stolen. The first bike is an adult’s Carrera mountain bike in Vulcan black and white with green writing with 24 gears, valued at around £360.
The second bike is a teenager’s Carrera Blast with 24 inch wheels in green with white writing and white wheel rims with 21 gears, valued at around £200.
 
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 0375 of 23/11/13.

Serial 1568 of 25/11/13 relates to an attempt burglary at a property in Paget Close, Horsham.
 
At around 2200 hours on Monday 25th November Police were called to an address in Paget Close, Horsham after the occupants heard noises coming from downstairs. The occupants shouted down and have heard someone run across the landing towards the front door which has then been heard to slam.
 
Nothing appears to have been stolen, at this stage there is not a description of the offender/s.
 
It is unknown how the offender/s were able to gain access as all the doors and windows had been locked.
 
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 1568 of 25/11/13.

Burglary


Serial 1578 of 18/11/2013 relates to a burglary at a property in Pondtail Road, Horsham.
 
It is not known what time the burglary occurred, however a security light had been ripped off the wall, indicating that it occurred sometime after dark up until 2120 hours when the owners returned home.
 
It is believed the offender/s gained entry using a flat roof by an upstairs window.
 
It is not known at this time what has been stolen.
 
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting 1578 of 18/11/2013.

Break in


Serial 1101 of 17/11/2013 relates to a break to a barn house at Furnace Lake Fishery, Horsham.
 
It would appear that the break occurred at around 1800 hours on Sunday 17th November, as three males were seen pushing a red quad bike from the barn.
 
Three males were stopped at the scene by the owner, however they all ran off.
 
All the males are described as white, possible early - mid twenties. Male one is described as wearing a hooded top, dark hat (possibly a beanie) and a light coloured mask.
 
Male two is described as wearing a light coloured tracksuit, a light coloured hat (possibly a beanie) and a dark coloured mask over the top of his head.
 
Male three is described as wearing a white hooded top, with a dark coloured overcoat.
 
It would appear that the males left in a red transit van.

Car damage


Serial 1051 of 17/11/2013 relates to a large number of vehicles being damaged overnight on Saturday 16th November.
 
Between Saturday 16th November and Sunday 17th November a large number of vehicles have had their car badges stolen or their aerials stolen in Spencers Place, Kempshott Road, Trafalgar Road, Churchill Avenue, Greenway, Shelley Road, Park Rise, Hamilton Road, Victory Road, Merryfield Drive, Redford Avenue, Nelson Road, and Swindon Road.
 
One man and a boy have been arrested for theft and at this time are currently in custody.
 
This amount of damage caused to the vehicles is very unusual and we are appealing to anyone who has had their car damaged to report it to us if you have not done so already. We are also asking for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time to report it. If you have any CCTV we are encouraging you to check it to see whether any of the offences/offenders might have been caught on camera.
