Bogus Callers - Beware!!

Serial 0513 of 11/06/13 relates to bogus callers calling at an address in Hills Place, Horsham.

It would appear that two males entered an address in Hills Place, Horsham at around 1125 hours stating to the occupant that they needed a new boiler. The males then said that it would cost £2300 to fix and that they needed the money quickly in order to fix it, they asked the occupant to write out a cheque to herself so that they could take her to bank and she could withdraw the money.

The occupant was in the process of leaving with the males to attend the bank when a cleaner arrived and called Police. Unfortunately the males made off straight away.

The first male is described as white, 25-30 years, short dark hair, wearing a white polo shirt with blue writing on it and jeans.

The second male is described as white, 25-30 years, wearing a white t-shirt with blue writing.

The males were seen to get into a Silver Peugeot and drive off at speed towards Guilford Road, with the second male driving.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting 0513 of 11/06/13.
