In this burglary, police enquiries have traced a witness who had seen two men, both described as of Asian appearance, both of thin build, aged 30-40, one with short dark hair and wearing a cream white suit, and the second wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, approaching the address. They were both wearing gloves.
Detective Sergeant Dave Grover of the West Sussex Priority Crime Team said; "We are linking these offences because of the similarities in method and forensic evidence.
"If you were in those areas on the days in question and saw anything suspicious please contact us via 101 quoting Operation Sherman. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
"But most of all we would like people to contact us urgently via 999 as soon as they see anything suspicious around properties. We would rather get there quickly, if only to find that there was nothing to worry about, than wait to hear when it may be too late."
