Sussex Policing Live!

Have you ever wanted to ask your local police commander what their plans are for the forthcoming year? Or what they most enjoy about their role? Perhaps you just would like to know what their favourite music is!!
Next Tuesday, 17 April you will be able to do just that when each of Sussex Police's 13 District Commanders (or equivalents) takes part in a day of live web chats as part of our commitment to become more open and transparent.
Following on from the success of Sussex Police People, each District Commander or their representatives, will take part in a 45-minute online chat, with all 13 being staggered throughout the day (final timings to be confirmed). Members of public will be able to submit questions to their local officer and chat with them via the Sussex Police website or via Twitter @sussex_police using the hashtag #policinglive.
Lewes District Commander Chief Inspector Jason Tingley said: "This is a great opportunity for people to contact us to discuss what is important to them. They can ask us what plans we have for combating and reducing crime in their areas. Perhaps they have ideas which they think will make a difference in their communities. We want to hear from you."
Each District Commander has recorded a Vlog which will go live on Friday 13 April and people are encouraged to submit questions and feedback before, during and after the live event. The final schedule for the day will also be posted on the website on Friday.
Those taking part are:
Chief Inspector Dick Coates - Wealden
A/Supt Ian Pollard - Adur and Worthing
Chief Inspector Jane Derrick - Arun
Chief Inspector Rachel Bacon - Chichester
Chief Inspector Sharon Parker - Horsham
Chief Inspector Jon Hull - Mid Sussex
